Schneider False Transfer 1. Openly display the object. 2. This is where the object rests before the transfer- at the base of the fingers. Notice the fingers are relaxed. 3. Make sure the object is in the finger palm position before starting the transfer. 4. The gaze shifts to the wand to start the transfer. This is called “wand motivation.” 5. The hands meet at the center line and both rotate at the wrist. 6. The thumb keeps the object from falling during the simulated transfer. Fingers straight! 7. The receiving hand closes to simulate receiving the object. 8. The hand reaches for the wand 9. The fingers wilt on the way and the object is fully palmed when the hand hits the wand leaving the thumb free to pick it up. 10. The receiving hand tilts as if it has received an object. This keeps the object “Alive.” 11. Once your hand hits the wand the eyes snap to the audience. 12. Take a beat before causing the object to disappear – nothing has happened yet in the spectators eyes. 13. Lean in and feel the magic. Sell making the object disappear.
